New Lawns
Main Garden Care can create a new lawn for you either with pre-seeded turfs or with grass seeds. In all cases, we perform the full lawn installation process – we prepare the area, supply the materials and labour, take away the rubbish, leave your garden tidy, and we can water the new lawn for you if required. We use our own high quality power tools running on petrol and do need an electricity supply. Our team always makes every effort to minimise any disturbance to your home.

Laying a new lawn with turf delivers instant results and you have a lush-looking lawn straight after the installation. This can be completed almost at any time of the year as long as water is readily supplied.
To lay your new lawn, we consider whether the area is sunny or shady. Our team prepares the ground – removing any weeds and other objects that will obstruct root growth, skimming off any existing turf in order to make a good foundation for the new lawn.
An excellent alternative is sowing your new lawn from seeds. Sowing from seeds gives you full control over the type of grass for your new lawn because we can tailor the grass seed mixture to suit the needs of your garden. These can be shady lawns, heavy wear lawns, ornamental lawns, etc. However, it will take around 4 to 6 months for the new lawn to develop.
After completion and upon request, we will supply you with care instructions for your new lawn. Please note that a new lawn will require watering five times per week until it develops.
